Bow Wow Says He Has A Meeting With BET After Expressing His Desire To Bring Back Certain Shows To The Network – The Shade Room

If you miss the old days when you used to rush home from school just to tune into your favorite show on BET. Don’t worry, it looks like Mr. 106 & Park, is working to bring back some of the classic shows to the network.

On Monday, Bow Wow shared his desire to bring back the video-countdown show “106 & Park” with some new updates. He took to his Twitter and said, “My first mission is to bring back 106&Park! If BET decides to take this meeting with me… who would yall want to host?”

He continued to say, “My only dream job now is I want to take over BET. I want a high position. I was blessed to host but NOW I want an office. I want to run and come up with content for the network. I know what they missing. All you have to do is LISTEN to the people.”

He then took the conversation on over to the new social networking app “Clubhouse” to further discuss the matter.

By Monday night, Bow Wow had announced that he had an upcoming meeting with the network. “Big meeting this week w/ BET we getting somewhere. 1st step! Let’s go,” said Bow Wow.

He first introduced the idea of bringing back 106 & Park, but he made it clear that there were other shows he was interested in bringing back to the network as well.

“Just want everyone to know it’s not just 106 or a show with that concept,” he said. “It’s bringing more music and music thrived shows to the network and hip hop documentaries such as the chronicle series followed by more hip hop thrived content.”

He continued, “We need to bring back teen summit. We need to tap in more with our HBCU’s. We have to make shows and content that speaks to us. We need a rap city type show back. Along with original shows. We about to make some BIG leaps. Let’s get it.”

As many of you know, Bow Wow earned the title “Mr. 106 & Park” earlier in his career after he became the first artist to have his music video retired from the countdown. Years later he served as the host of the show from 2012-2014.
