‘Echo’ Set Photos Reveal Vincent D’Onofrio’s MCU Return As Kingpin

Entertainment:

New photos from the set of Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus series Echo reveal a first look at Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin in the series.

Vincent D’Onofrio first appeared as Wilson Fisk, Marvel’s Kingpin of Crime, in Daredevil on Netflix. While he seemed to have vanished from the MCU following that series’ cancellation, D’Onofrio eventually returned as Kingpin in Hawkeye on Disney Plus.

Hawkeye introduced Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez, A.K.A. Echo, who is now set to appear in her own spin-off series. Maya was raised by Wilson Fisk, whom she ended up shooting in the final episode of Hawkeye. However, the character is set to return in Echo, as set photos have now confirmed.

Although Marvel has not commented on Vincent D’Onofrio’s return for Echo, fans suspected the series would feature both his Kingpin and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil as the two had close ties to Echo in the comics.

While Charlie Cox has not been spotted shooting scenes for Echo yet, early set photos reveal Vincent D’Onofrio suited up as the Kingpin. He’s donning a white suit that’s close to the character’s classic look and the costume he wore in Daredevil Season 3.

As well as Echo, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is set to return in the upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again, alongside Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Considering the characters once seemed confined to Netflix, it is a welcome change of pace to now see them interacting with so much of the mainstream MCU.

Charlie Cox is also set to appear as Daredevil in the upcoming Disney Plus series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Here is the synopsis:

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.

Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

The series premieres on Disney Plus on August 18th. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the MCU series and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
