Four mystery cases among seven new COVID infections in WA

News Today || Headlines Today

Western Australia has recorded seven new COVID-19 cases overnight, including four mystery cases — leading the Government to impose strict new mask rules for Australia day events.

Three of the local cases are contacts of previously reported cases, all of whom were infectious in the community.

The remaining four cases have no known links to either the Omicron-driven Cockburn cluster or the Delta cluster associated with a French backpacker. Three of the four are close household contacts.
