News Today || Headlines Today

Police are again visiting Carnarvon businesses in the hunt for any clues that might lead them to missing girl Cleo Smith.

Multiple teams of officers spent Thursday morning in the town’s light industrial area obtaining CCTV footage.

Industrial warehouses and offices were visited as part of the search, mostly along Robinson Road — the main entrance to the Mid-West town.

The Main Roads office and a Shire of Carnarvon depot were among the businesses at which police were seen.

It comes after police revealed they had received a report of a car turning right out of Blowholes Road, which leads to the campsite, heading south towards Carnarvon.

The car was reported by two people driving north on North West Coastal Highway at some time between 3am and 3.30am on Saturday October 16, the morning Cleo went missing from her family’s tent.

Officers made a third visit to the South Carnarvon home of Cleo’s mother Ellie Smith on Wednesday, before returning to the Blowholes campsite to collect ash samples from former camp fires at the site.
