How Chelsea players

News Post || News Now:

Chelsea were very busy over the 2020 summer transfer window, with Roman Abramovich supplying Frank Lampard with over £200million to improve his squad. After making seven new signings, the Blues looked to be on course for a great season, but there has been a slight dip in form recently.

Lampard’s side have won just one of their last six Premier League matches, which has put the former Chelsea midfielder under pressure at Stamford Bridge.

The west London-based club brought in Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Malong Sarr and Edouard Mendy, trying to close the gap to last season’s top two Manchester City and Liverpool.

It’s been a strong start for some of those signings, while others are taking their time to settle in at their new club.

Kante has been in good form for Chelsea this season, but turns 30 in March, which may have something to do with his valuation.

Kai Havertz’s price hasn’t changed at all despite his slow start to life in London, which may come as a little bit of a surprise.

However, despite Havertz not finding his feet in a blue shirt just yet, there have been glimpses of his talent.

Timo Werner’s value has risen by just over £5m after he signed for £45m from RB Leipzig over the summer transfer window, with the 24-year-old striker having scored nine goals for the Blues in all competitions this season.

Chilwell has seen his price dramatically by £9m increase since moving from Leicester City in the summer window.

Ben Chilwell

The England left-back has been impressive under Lampard this season, showcasing his attacking talents as well as his defensive capabilities.

When fit, Hakim Ziyech has also enjoyed his start with the London club, and as a result, has had his value risen by £4.5m.

Kurt Zouma has formed a strong partnership with Thiago Silva this season and the former is now valued at £31.5m, where he was previously priced at £27m.

Silva, meanwhile, is way down at £4.05m – which is undoubtedly due to the fact the defender is now 36 years old and coming towards the latter stages of his career, as well being on a short-term deal with Lampard’s side that is due to expire in the summer.

The same can be said about Olivier Giroud, who has been in fine form for Chelsea this season, but is now valued at just £4.5m.

Fikayo Tomori, who hasn’t played a lot of football this season, has had his value decreased by £2.7m which will be down to the lack of first-team minutes he’s played.

Tomori has been linked with a move away from the club this month, with Lampard admitting he could be set to leave on loan.
